10 Weeks people.. 10 weeks


So in all my glorious training. well okay not so glorious, but in all of this madness that is training for a half marathon I almost forgot one of my so far biggest accomplishments. Well I really started before all my training so I can't say it is part of my training but then again it is... Anywho..

I hit a mile stone. Now this really has nothing to do with running but then again it does since diet is HUGE part of training. Anyway to the point.

10 weeks...

10 weeks ago I gave up sodas.. No more for me I said. They are loaded with sodium which causes high blood pressure and the acid in the sodas well they ruin your stomach. And Coke can be used to clean a CAR BATTERY or even your toilet. Dentists hate them since the acid is horrible for your teeth. How do I know they all hate them?

Well just ask my Orthodontist father in law, or any dentist. They will say STOP drinking sodas.

So back to my point, It has been 10, yes a big fat 10 weeks.
That's 70 whole days since I've had any kind of soda.

Not one of these.....
Or these ........
and not even one of these...
 

Which I tell you has been the hardest.. I absolutely love & adore Cream Soda.

Sodas were like my coffee too. So that means I've given up the dreaded C-word... Caffeine.

I can't say I haven't had moments of weakness and had some caffeine from tea, but NOT 1 stinkin bubbly sweet soda has crossed these lips. Nothing carbonated.

And that my dear friends is a HUGE accomplishment.



So I am proud of myself today. Congratulations to me and my 10 week anniversary.
