So, I got all dolled up in my signature color, and set off for my adventure with my husband, sister, two good friends, and a new one. We all set out to "Break Free" 3.8 miles of terrain and 15 obstacles till Freedom.
| The Pink Ladies Pre-Mud |
It felt like the longest 4 miles ever. The mud was horribly smelly, yet oddly cooling given humidity.
And I now know it is next to impossible to actually run through mud. 1 of 2 things happen,
A. You lose a shoe, or B You fall. Now most people ended up with option B, so I did my best not to run in the mud. Baby steps is what Ryan said.
Sloshing through the mud, wading through rivers, scaling down a ravine on a rope, then climbing up back up the ravine on a wall made of tires, and over the monster mountain of hay bales we ran. Surrounded by thousands of other crazy people just like us.
The sirens went off and 1 hour later we were crawling through the last muddy obstacle.

We did it. The dogs didn't find us and we are Free!
